Castor Little Theatre wrapped up their 2024 final performance on Sat. March 2, 2024. Their 41st season saw six talented actors perform in ‘Hogwash’, a comedy that portrays the difficulty of balancing work with family. Louie Baxter, (Shawna James) portrayed the incorrigible troublemaker who is expelled from the daycare centre for a variety of behavioural offences, not the least of which is smoking in the bathroom and setting off false fire alarms.

Daughter-in-law Mary Baxter (Jenna Hanger) tries to deal with her mother-in-law while getting prepared for an important marketing presentation with the Mansfield’s, Ashley (Jenessa Dunkle) and her grandfather, Bradford (Tom Wilson).

Other cast members included Mrs. Hall (Velma Schofield) who played the part of the manager at Sunny Hill Day Care Center and Karen (Hana Watson) playing the part of the waiter.

Although a comedy, this play focused on serious issues involving care for the elderly.
