Carl, Wayne: Love of playing music and entertaining

Wayne Douglas Carl was born Dec. 30, 1939 to Douglas and Vernie Carl and passed away May 14, 2016 at the age of 76 years.

Wayne was predeceased by his wife Elaine Muriel in 1985 and his life partner Alice McDonald on May 4, 2016.

Wayne leaves behind two sons Garth (Sue), Doug (Jackie), one grandson Dustin Carl and two granddaughters Delaine Carl and Ariana Carl, one sister Pat Baynham and one brother Clinton Carl, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Wayne was born in Provost Ab., bought and sold grain in Chauvin, Claresholm, Vulcan and Hanna.

He also worked for CKRD in Red Deer as an electronic technician and later in his life, worked for

Special Areas and Starland County as an Agricultural Fieldman.  He retired to Myrnam, Ab. and later moved and settled in Sherwood Park, Ab.

Wayne’s love of playing music and entertaining was appreciated by many throughout the years. He was a talented piano, guitar/steel guitar, saxaphone player and was known to sing a song or two as well.  Wayne’s other favourite past time was his garden, old trucks, camping and fishing if he wasn’t playing for a dance.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
