Campion, Eunice Loreen

Eunice Loreen Campion passed away in Coronation, Ab. on July 10, 2017 at the age of 74 years.
Eunice was born in Castor, Ab. on March 6, 1943, the eleventh of 12 children of Floyd and Florence Wiltse.
Eunice grew up north of Halkirk, Ab.
After graduating from Halkirk High School, she attended the University of Alberta, working towards her teaching credentials.
After teaching at Paintearth School and Castor Elementary, Eunice returned to obtain her professional teaching certificate at the University of Alberta.
In February 1965, Eunice was engaged to James Campion, the love of her life.  They were married in Stettler, Ab. on July 31, 1965.
To this union, three daughters were born – Renee in 1968, Loreen in 1971 and Andrea in 1973.
Eunice and Jim made Coronation their home, making many lifelong friends and participating fully in small town life.
Eunice enjoyed curling, golfing, gardening, sewing and reading, but most of all her spending time with her husband, family and friends.
She also spent many hours giving back to her community with the Historical Society and Communities in Bloom, among other projects.
Many happy hours were also spent with the special ladies in the “coffee group”.
Eunice was predeceased by her parents, Floyd and Florence Wiltse, brothers, Ralph Wiltse, Delmar Wiltse, Gerald Wiltse, Everett Wiltse and Leonard Wiltse and sister, Alice Vincett, father and mother-in-law, Sam and Irene Campion and son-in-law, Trevor Jones.
Eunice is survived by her loving husband, Jim,  daughter Renee and husband Lloyd Greer, daughter Loreen Jones, daughter Andrea and husband, Allan Layden.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brant Jones (Courtney), Reegan Jones (Jayden), Mattea Jones, Sarah Greer, Will Greer, Annaliese Layden (Tony), Shea Layden (Sydney), Avry Layden (Jessie) and Seth Layden.
She also leaves behind her brother, Lionel Wiltse (Maureen), her sisters, Phyllis Baranowski, Marjorie Baker, Lennice Gamroth and Isla Babysh, brother-in-law Allan Babysh, the “sister cousins” – Shauna Stemaschuk (husband Greg, children Noah and Payton) and Leigha Neal (husband Jeff, children Hailey and Chloe) brother-in-law Richard Campion (Doreen) and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service to honour Eunice was held on Mon. July 17, 2017 at the Coronation Community Centre, Coronation, Ab. at 2 p.m.
The interment took place at the Coronation Cemetery.
Memorial tributes may be made in Eunice’s memory to STARS or to Coronation/Consort Victim Services.
