Busy April on the roads

The Consort RCMP detachment released their incident statistics for the month of April.
The RCMP responded to 102 calls for service within the Special Areas No. 4, with roads taking a specific focus.
Twenty-eight provincial traffic tickets were issued along with 21 written offence warnings.
The RCMP also responded to four traffic collisions and four impaired driving violations in the month of April.
Police responded to two motor vehicle thefts under $5,000 and one other theft over $5,000.
RCMP responded to two assault cases and one case of careless use of a firearm.
Police responded to two break and enters to a business and one break and enter to a home.
The RCMP also requested eight criminal record checks in the month of April.
Other incidents attended to by the police included one case of uttering threats against another person, one case involving breach of peace, two assault cases, one case of fraud through mail, one case of mischief and damage of property, one animal call, three false alarms, one item lost then found, and three cases of assistance from the general public.
