Lee was born Feb. 8, 1956 in Stettler, Alta., the second child of Jim and Jean Brown.
Lee passed away accidentally on Jan. 13, 2025 at the age of 68 years.
He attended Erskine School and later attended high school in Stettler.
Lee was an astute cattleman and hardworking farmer. He lived in his great grandmother Isabella Brown’s house on her 1904 homestead his entire life.
He leaves to mourn his loving family – wife Laura; daughters Trish (Tim) Henderson and Jackie (Kerry) Freeman; special sidekick Katherine Heath; four grandchildren he was especially proud of – Luke and Wynne Henderson and Elliot and Abby Freeman.
He is also survived by beloved sisters Marjorie (Bob) Blacklock and Lynne Brown, brother Neil (Deneen) Brown, Aunts Gladys (Toots) Anderson, Alice Norris, Audrey (Wally) Ward, sister-in-law Ann (Les) Muhlbach, brother-in-law Bill (Brenda) Turville and Laura’s uncle Doug Johnston, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lee was predeceased by parents Jim and Jean Brown and parents-in-law Harlen and Lois Turville.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2025 at 2 p.m. at the Stettler Community Hall, Stettler, Alta., officiated by Rev. Kwon of the Erskine United Church. Organist Evelyn Strandquist will lead the music.
A eulogy will be given by daughters Trish and Jackie, sister Lynne and long-time friend Steve Dorran.
