Bernice Mary Brown, nee Watson, passed away peacefully at the Stettler Hospital on Nov. 21, 2024 at the age of 97 years.
Bernice was born in Stettler, Alta. on Nov. 14, 1927 to parents Fred and Violet Watson.
On July 14, 1948 Bernice married Allen Brown and moved to the Brown farm. She was a very good cook and her buns were a favourite of many family members and friends.
She always kept her yard, house and vehicles immaculate.
Dad and mom resided there until 1979 when they moved to Stettler. After dad’s passing in 1981, she kept very active by volunteering, playing cards and dancing into her 90s. Mom also had a green thumb and with many plants of all types in her home.
Bernice is survived by her children Brenda McLellan and Ronald (Gloria) Brown; grandchildren Lisa (Mike) Robertson, Scott (Crystal) McLellan and Shawna Speakman; great-grandchildren Carsen, Connor, Kayla, Gunnar, Sadie and Tanner.
Also by brother-in-law Jack Smith; sisters-in-law Gladys (Toots) Anderson, Alice Norris and Audrey (Wally) Ward; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.
Bernice is predeceased by her loving husband Allen Brown; parents Fred and Violet Watson; sister Shirley Smith; brother and sister-in-law Willis (Barb) Watson; son-in-law Dave McLellan; grandson Ricky Brown; special nephew Lance Smith; and several Brown sisters and brothers-in-law.
