Big Knife 4-H Beef Club picked up tires on Wed. Nov 8, 2023, at Mr. Dupont’s farmstead for our club fundraiser.

Picking tires is fun with a great crew. Thank you to the families that came and helped. That is the McPhee’s, Walstrom’s, and the Walgenbach’s. A special thank you to the families that each brought trailers. They were the Derr’s, the Jacobson’s, and the Hoopfer’s. It was a team collaboration.

It was so much fun that we came home with a few laughs and giggles. The funniest story was when Benton and Cheyanne spotted a mouse. After a lot of scrambling, they eventually found the mouse. Benton grabbed it and held it up. Everybody screamed, except the people who thought it was cool. The mouse got out of his hand and escaped. I guess it didn’t want to be social.

Tires are hard work. Working up a sweat doesn’t hurt anyone. With fellow 4-H members, it can be a really fun time. We told stories, laughed, and had some priceless moments.

Thank you to Mr. Dupont for the fundraising opportunity.
