Bashaw RCMP were called to the scene of a fire at the Bashaw Motor Inn in Bashaw at approximately 1:15 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 9.
Owing to flowing water from a damaged water main, recovery of this unidentified body has been delayed.
An autopsy will be scheduled for later this week to determine cause of death and identity.
Three persons had been taken to hospital Sunday where one has now been released and the condition of the other two remains unchanged.
The RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit and other RCMP support services have been brought to the site to assist in the investigation.
