The Big Knife Villa in Forestburg and local resident of the Villa, Alaire Oberg were honoured with a Minister’s Seniors Services Award 2016 at the Golden Circle in Red Deer on Tuesday, June 7.
“Alberta Seniors and Housing received 63 nominations of which 50 were for individuals and 13 for organizations,” according to the Alberta.ca website for seniors and housing. Ana Kimball, a representative of Big Knife Villa – Flagstaff Regional Housing Group & Bethany Group joined a van load of seniors who went to Red Deer to attend this year’s event.
“Alaire received her award for all the years she has volunteered,” said Kimball, “for all her hard work and dedication to helping others. The Villa received the award for their commitment, hard work and service to seniors.”
