The Byemoor 4-H Beef Club hosted their Christmas party at the bowling alley in Heisler, Alta. On Jan. 3, 2024. After bowling, we exchanged secret santa gifts.
Three days later, on Jan. 6, East Central Regional 4-H fun day was held in Stettler, at Wm. E. Hay Secondary Campus.
Attendees did lots of crafts and games and swam at the Stettler Pool with about half of the Byemoor members attending.
Our club held our monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Byemoor Drop-In Centre.
We discussed the upcoming 70th anniversary of the club and the upcoming public speak-offs. We are still looking for club and district-level judges.
Following the meeting, we had a public speaking workshop. We had lots of fun and learned lots.
For the 70th anniversary celebration, if anyone has any memorabilia from Byemoor 4-H when they were young, or knows of anyone who does, please reach out to one of our members or leaders.
We are hoping to incorporate some of our rich history in our stall display this year. Items such as photos and signs are very much appreciated and will be displayed.
The Byemoor club is still doing a battery drive, so if you have any old batteries you would like to be rid of, please contact a member, leader or parent and we would be happy to collect them for you.
