It has been a few years since the Trochu & District Agricultural Society have touched base to let you know how we are doing.
The agricultural society hosted in 2021 their annual Mini Rodeo, annual July 1st event and a summer of fun Gymkhana’s and finished the year off with a fun day Cowboy Challenge.
In 2022 it brought to us more challenges and more excitement.
We began the 2022 year with our annual Winter Family Fun Day. It was a chilly out but we had a bonfire to warm everyone up, along with hot chocolate and apple cider and wagon rides and a few animals for kids to meet and greet.
In the spring, with the help of amazing supporters, committee and volunteers, the grounds were completed to provide a full junior rodeo and bull riders event.
Starting in June we welcomed the Canadian Girls Rodeo Association (CGRA) to our grounds for their All-Girls Rodeo.
Next up was the first annual Bull Riding event complete with beer gardens, food truck, Calcutta and a live band.
July 1st was quiet for the grounds this year, although we still held our ball tournament dance which was well enjoyed.
Over the last few years we have worked hard to provide events enjoyed by people from all around.
We look forward to the 2023 season, starting with our Winter Family Fun Day. The amazing CGRA will be joining us again this year and we look forward to having them.
Be sure to check out our Facebook page, newspaper, radio advertising and look for those posters for our summer event postings.
We are excited and look forward to seeing you at our grounds.
With completing our grounds, we are working on our new project to increase seating for our events. With the help of our supporters, fundraising and grants, we have high hopes to have these in place for the 2024 season to kick off our 50th Anniversary.
Are you interested in helping with our events, we welcome all volunteers. Trochu Agricultural Society | Trochu AB | Facebook.
