Alix CAO resigns amid Municipal Affairs investigation into village

Only one year after taking over as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Troy Jenkins has resigned his position.
After an in-camera session June 7, council reconvened their regular meeting and voted to accept CAO Jenkins resignation.
“I enjoyed my time in Alix and got to work with wonderful staff and meet a lot of great people,” said former CAO Jenkins in a phone interview on Tuesday. “I’m very thankful for that.”
He declined to elaborate further but has already started working as CAO for the Town of Rainbow Lake. On their website, on June 13 Mayor Michelle Farris states “On behalf of Council, I would like to welcome Troy Jenkins as our new CAO.  Troy brings over 20 years experience to the office and Council is excited!!”
Jenkins took over the CAO position in Alix mid 2016 at the height of a battle between Alix residents and village council/staff, which led to Municipal Affairs appointing investigators to investigate the Village of Alix’s management, administration and operations in response to two petitions from residents last year.
