Two vehicle injury collision

Members of the Bashaw and Stettler RCMP responded to a serious two vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 56 and Highway 53 near Donalda at approximately 5 p.m. on Aug. 4.

A Chevrolet Silverado truck and trailer with two passengers travelling east-bound, and a Toyota Highlander carrying five passengers travelling north-bound collided at the intersection.

Due to the number of patients involved units from the Stettler Regional Fire Rescue service responded from Donalda and Stettler stations, along with EMS crews from Bashaw, Camrose, Forestburg, Ponoka and Stettler.

Two people required extrication by fire personnel.

Five people were transported to surrounding area hospitals all with non-life threatening injuries.

The collision is still under investigation.

 Theft of fuel

During the evening hours of Aug. 2 onto the early morning of Aug. 3 unknown suspect(s) stole fuel from a CAT D7R bulldozer that was located at an oil well site approximately 20 km south of Veteran, Ab.
