Andy Wong of the Castor Golden Crown gets a royal send off from the Castor community, after 36 years in business, on Wed. Aug. 2 at the Castor Community Centre. Andy was recognized for 36 years of treating the school kids great, feeding the 30 kids and 15 regulars at lunch time by himself in 20 minutes and the best chinese food in Alberta.
”My only complaint is he won’t ever give us old coffee guys a discount,” said Deputy Mayor Richard Elhard when he and Phillip Pals (right) presented Andy with a framed photo of the Castor Creek and his business premises, a money purse and gift basket. An estimated 300 people showed up for the send off as he moves to Saskatoon, Sk. ECA Review/J.Webster
