Ronald, Diane

Diane was born on April 20, 1939 in Calgary, Ab.
Most of her youth was spent with her grandparents on the family farm near Czar, Ab. and took her schooling in Hughenden.
She served for a brief time in the Air Force before meeting and marrying Ernie and settling down in Castor and starting their family.
Theirs was a union that spanned 58 years.
Diane passed away May 28, 2017 in Irma, Ab.
Diane loved life and enjoyed sharing it with her family and many friends.
Kids, grandkids and horses were all she needed.
If there was a live country band around to listen to she was all ears and if not, CFCW worked just as well.
She was a diehard fan of Big Valley Jamboree, only missing one or two in the past 25 years.
She loved the music but it was the people she loved most and her family was always first.
Rodeo was another huge passion, one that she volunteered tirelessly for, not to mention all the fundraising for the numerous clubs and associations she was involved in.
Diane was predeceased by her husband Ernie, infant son Ricky, parents Nick and Ann, brothers Randy and Terry and sister Jan.
Diane is survived by sons Guy (Leena) of Penang, Malaysia, Kelly of Mannville, Ab and daughter Tammy of Irma, Ab.
Grandchildren Tara (Stephen) Johnston of Edmonton, Ab and Adan and Alek of Calgary, Ab  and great granddaughter, Riley of Edmonton, Ab.
She is also survived by sister Beth of Camrose, Ab,  brother Cam of Red Deer, Ab as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Hanna Senior Circle on June 7, 2017 with Rev. Paul Warnock officiating.
Loving words of remembrance were given by Shirley Robertson and Lori Blake.
Musician Karyn Tateson presented her gift of music.
Family and friends remained together for a time of fellowship and a luncheon by the Alliance Church Ladies.
Donations will be gratefully accepted to the Alberta SPCA, Alberta Diabetes or to a charity of your own choice.
