Central Alberta District Integrated Crime Reduction Unit (ICRU) assisted Leduc RCMP with apprehending two individuals on Jan. 12 that had several outstanding arrest warrants.
Information was received that a male and female were hiding out at a rural property southwest of Leduc.
An investigation into these individuals and their activities led ICRU members to attend the property and locate the male and female. They were taken into custody without incident.
During the arrest, several items of interest were located and seized by police, including stolen property and instruments believed to be used for procuring fraudulent documents.
Jeffrey Ryan Hall, 37, of Wainwright is facing 10 new charges stemming from his arrest.
Hall’s warrants, which totalled 54 criminal charges, were from several jurisdictions including: Red Deer, Leduc, Wainwright and Edmonton.
Tawny Leigh Eccles, 29, of New Zealand, is facing five new charges stemming from her arrest.
Eccles’ warrants, which totalled 26 criminal charges, were from several jurisdictions including: Leduc, Wainwright and Edmonton.
Both were remanded in custody and will be making their first court appearance on Jan. 17.
Seeking owners of recovered property
RCMP in Hanna are looking for the owners of property recovered from a stolen vehicle on New Years Eve.
On Dec. 31 at 10:25 pm, a collision occurred on Highway 9 at Range Road 161 in Starland County.
Immediately after the collision, occupants of one of the involved vehicles, a silver Ford F-150, got into another truck that was following.
Officers from Hanna RCMP attended and determined that the silver Ford F-150 had been reported stolen from Red Deer on Dec. 24.
Inside the stolen vehicle, more property that is believed to be stolen was recovered. Investigators are seeking to identify the rightful owners of a silver slip tank, body worn gas monitors, hand operated gas pump and connectors.
Anyone with information on the ownership of these items or with information about the two male and two female occupants of the stolen F-150 are asked to contact the Hanna RCMP at 403-854-3393.
Identifying owner of found property
On Jan. 4, 2018 at approximately 10:26 a.m., a large black Haussmann tool box was found in the west side ditch of Range Road 115 one kilometre north of Highway 12 near the hamlet of Federal, Ab..
It was reported that the tool box had been there for approximately two weeks. The tool box is approximately four feet by two and a half feet and has two large swing handles on both ends.
