Oyen RCMP responded to a single vehicle rollover on highway 9 near Range Road 43 on Feb. 25 at approximately 4 p.m.
The semi-truck was travelling west bound on Highway 9 when it rolled. The truck was carrying liquid hydrocarbon tanks when it rolled.
The tanks, some empty and some full, scattered across highway 9. The truck itself was leaking diesel fuel.
The cause of the roll-over is unknown at this time and is still under investigation.
On Feb. 21 the Hanna RCMP recovered two stolen vehicles.
One of the vehicles had property in the cargo area that didn’t belong to the owner. It is believed these are stolen items.
The RCMP is looking for the owners of the following property: a red Eskimo brand gas powered ice auger; a Xenarc video display that is believed to be part of a Boviscan veterinary ultra sound.

Hit and run with pedestrian
Coronation RCMP received a complaint of a hit and run that occurred on Wed. Feb. 14 at approximately 4:30 p.m.
The involved motorist was stunting with their vehicle at the time of the incident.
The vehicle was travelling east on 52 Avenue in the town of Castor, Ab. when it dangerously proceeded through the intersection of 51 Street.
The vehicle sped away from the intersection, lost control and struck a pedestrian and his snow blower. The driver did not stop and proceeded eastbound towards Gus Wetter School.
Fortunately, the pedestrian did not sustain serious injuries.
The suspect vehicle was a newer model, blue, four-door pickup truck.
The driver is believed to be between the ages of 25 and 35 years old with dark hair and a moustache.
