Public speaking competition held on Family Day

March 2, 2017 -- ecareview

On Feb. 20, Family Day, the Brownfield Multi-Club held their Public Speaking Day at the Brownfield hall.
On Family Day, family and friends came to listen to the 4-H speeches of Junior, Intermediate and Senior members. We had all different kinds of topics including Recycling, One Cup of Thankfulness, Keeping Up and many others.
After judges listened to all of the speeches, we broke for a nice supper and then listened to impromptu speeches.
The judges carefully selected our winners.
Junior winners were: first, Sydney Creasy, and second, Nate Creasy.
For intermediates, first this year went to Kurt Heidecker,  second was awarded to Meadow Cole.
Our senior winner was Jeremey Burkinshaw. We even had one of our Cleaver kids do a presentation on How to make a coaster. We thank everyone who came and supported our speakers. Also a special thank you to our judges who volunteered their time.
