Lots of little ones to see Santa

Brownfield opened the basketball season with an exhibition game at Brownfield against Veteran on December 8. Talbot Sharp Edges held their Christmas meeting on Sunday, December 12 at Talbot Hall.  They enjoyed pizza and made Christmas crafts. Talbot had their Family Dance and Potluck Supper on Saturday, December 11. There were lots of little ones to see Santa.
Brownfield held Santa Daze on Sunday, December 12. They had many activities, a trade fair and Santa with candy bags.  Talbot Homemakers went out to supper together on December 13 for their Christmas party.  Instead of exchanging gifts they brought a gift to be given to the Christmas Hampers for Coronation.

Brownfield United Church Women were invited to join Coronation U.C.W. for a Christmas meeting on Tuesday, December 14. They met in the church basement and enjoyed fellowship and lunch.  The Brownfield School Concert was on Wednesday, December 15 and was enjoyed by all.  Coronation School held their Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 9.
We send sympathy to the Gilbertson families on the passing of Joe Gilbertson of Edmonton. His funeral was held in Edmonton on Tuesday, December 14. Many attended the Gord Bamford concert in Coronation on Friday, December 17. Pastor and Mrs. Johnson hosted a Christmas party at their home for the Religious Education Class of Brownfield School on Friday, December 17.
Congratulations to Luke Creasy and Kylee Fifer  who are to be married on New Year’s Eve in New Mexico. To celebrate this event they held an open house and dance at Brownfield Rec Centre on Saturday, December  18 with a large crowd of family and friends attending.
The community sends sympathy to the Smith families on the passing of Bob Smith, husband of Winnifred.  His funeral was held in St. Albert on Friday, December 10. Get well wishes to Wilma Mosher, Bea Lindmark and Wes Sieger who have been hospital patients.
