Dunkle, Pamela Marie

Our cherished Pamela Marie Dunkle left us too soon on June 20, 2017.
Pam was born to Linda Mills and Eric Brick on June 17, 1965 in Kindersley, Sk..
She resided in Edmonton, Ottawa, and later in Saskatoon where she studied at the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology before working at the S.P.C.A. in both Saskatoon and Edmonton.
Pam eventually became part of the Castor community after her marriage to Brad Dunkle.
It was in Castor that their two beautiful daughters, Carly and Sydney, were born.
Pam was a very devoted and loving mother.  Although her two girls were her whole world, Pam also knew the importance of becoming involved in the community.
She became an intricate member at Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital, Gus Wetter School, East Central Ambulance and the Castor Curling Club.
She was a volunteer curling coach and a manager for the girl’s ball team.  Pam loved to watch her girls play sports.
Together, she and Brad, Carly, and Sydney enjoyed music and travel. They attended many concerts over the years.
Pam’s affection for animals was evident as she always made room for cats and dogs to love and care for.
Pam will be dearly missed by her family and friends:
Her father Eric Brick (Dianne), her step-father Ben Vogelgesang, her brother Todd Brick (Susan O’Connor) and son, Oliver, her grandmother Verna Mills, in-laws Gary and Wendy Dunkle, Brady Dunkle (Andrea Buettner) and daughter Rebecca, Erin Dunkle and children Carter and Fallyn.
Pam battled her illness with great courage.  She fought with everything that she had to overcome it.
In spite of all her efforts, her illness became too much for her to conquer.
Pam’s celebration of life was held at the Castor Community Hall on June 26, 2017, with Reverend Barbara Zimmerman officiating.
A private family graveside service will be held in Kindersley Sk. at a later date.
Donations in memory of Pam are gratefully accepted to Our Lady of the Rosary Hospital, Knox United Church, Castor Curling Club or Alberta Mental Health c/o Parkview Funeral Chapels & Crematorium, Box 186, Castor, Ab.
