Copper wire stolen from oil site north of Provost

Provost RCMP investigation determined copper wire was stolen from the site sometime between 1- 8 a.m., on July 3, 2017 from an oil site north of Provost.
The suspect(s) also damaged a transformer while stealing the wire causing approximately $80,000 – $100,000 in damages.
“The theft of wire is not only dangerous when live, but can cause serious injury or death,” says Corporal Ronald Bumbry, Media Relations Officer, East Alberta District. “The person(s) who committed this crime were gambling with their life.”
